A five Doctor GP surgery in the village of Writtle, just outside Chelmsford in Essex.

 The surgery telephone lines are open throughout our normal working hours of

8:00 am - 6:30 pm Monday to Friday.

We are closed on weekends and Bank Holidays.

The surgery doors are open from 08:15 am to 6:00 pm. Appointments are for 10 minutes and are available during the hours listed below. To see a Doctor or Nurse please telephone us or come into the surgery to book an appointment. If you have more than one issue you would like to discuss please ensure you book a double appointment.

 

The evening appointments are mainly offered for routine pre-booked consultations.

3.50pm – 6.00pm

The Dispensary

The dispensary opening hours are Monday to Friday 9:00-12:00 and then 14:00-18:00. If you need to obtain medicines urgently then please speak to one of our dispensers.

Extended hours. The surgery is taking part in the national intiative to offer consultations outside of our usual hours. These appointments are available between 6:30pm to 8:00 pm Mondays and 7:30 to 8:00 am Fridays. They must be pre-booked with a GP, and the normal surgery services will not be available during these times. Please contact reception for further details or to arrange an appointment.

Outside Surgery Hours

For urgent appointments or difficulties with obtaining medicines outside our normal surgery hours, please call the Out of Hours Service via 08447360276. This service is commissioned by the PCT and is run by a commercial organisation Prime Care. It is based at The North Chelmsford Health Care Centre 2 White Hart Lane Springfield Chelmsford by Sainsbury's supermarket in the right hand side carpark.
